Middle School

Middle school years are crazy and unpredictable yet foundational and unforgettable. With new found autonomy and responsibilities students begin pondering meaning of life and what is their place in life. Dynamics with friends, family, and other relationships become more complex.  All of these things can make the middle school years very confusing but so rewarding with guidance and perseverance. The North Metro Middle School Ministry (MSM) desires for our student to understand and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, as spoken of in 1 Timothy 4:12. We want our students to understand they can know God and be used by Him.  We want them to be the example in speech, conduct, faith, love, and purity (1 Tim. 4:12). Come find out what God has to say to you at North Metro Baptist Church!

Sundays at 9:15am in the Lighthouse (Gym)

Life Groups are a safe place where students can belong and be known in a small group setting. Each Life Group is led by godly, servant-hearted leaders who have committed to walking through this vital season of life with your students. Their goal is to partner with you, the parent, in encouraging and supporting them as they navigate the teenage years.

We are excited for 2021 where we will be walking from Genesis to Revelation during our Sunday morning LifeGroup time. The entire 2021 year will be the theme of “The Thread” (52-week study from YM360). The objective of The Thread series is help students discover the thread of the Gospel through the big-picture story of the Bible.

Students also have the option of purchasing a 52-week devotional to guide personal quiet time and bible study during the week to prepare/reflect on what is being taught on Sundays.

Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm in the Lighthouse (Gym)

Every Wednesday night, middle school students gather to experience biblical teaching, small group discussions, and Godly relationships.  From 6:30pm - 7:00pm is a time to play in the gym and spend time hanging out with friends.  From 7:00pm - 8:00pm is the main teaching time. This teaching time happens in one of two ways: 1) Biblical Teaching - we walk through sections of God’s word verse by verse and chapter by chapter. 2) Family Groups - students are put into preassigned groups and spend discuss driven time diving deep into faith, life, and building community with their “family” of students and leaders.
