Baptism

Baptism isn’t required for salvation - but it is the next step of faith for believers. Baptism is commanded of all believers and is for believers only. Christian baptism by immersion in water is a public identification with Jesus Christ and is symbolic of His death, burial, and resurrection

WHY GET BAPTIZED?

Because you want to follow Christ’s example (Mark 1:9), and Jesus told all believers to do it and set an example by being baptized (Matthew 28:19-20). Baptism is an opportunity to identify ourselves with the Savior and show the world that you are a follower of Christ!
1 John 2:3, Acts 18:8

WHEN SHOULD I BE BAPTIZED?

As soon as you have believed! You shouldn’t put it off!
Acts 2:41, Acts 8:35-38

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF BAPTISM?

It is a symbol of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection  and it is a symbol of your new life as a Christian.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, II Corinthians 5:17

WHO SHOULD GET BAPTIZED?

Every person that believes in Christ. The one and only requirement for baptism is that your believe in Christ.
Acts 8:13

DO YOU BAPTIZE CHILDREN?

North Metro does not baptize children until they are old enough to understand and believe. Baptism follows a personal decision to follow Christ and trust Jesus for their salvation.
